Hi, I’m Jaime (pronounced HY-meh) Rodriguez. Thanks for visiting!

About this blog

This is a small, part-time hobby blog. Expect raw, geeky explorations and opinions on agentic AI, model evals, AI-assisted coding, and personal assistants. Cadence will be sporadic. There is too much to learn.

About me

I am a software architect and emerging technology enthusiast, currently hooked on everything AI.

If you are looking for my CV with companies, titles and dates, try my LinkedIn.

If you want to know who I truly am, here is a start:

  • I am a husband and father of two wonderful kids, both in college now.
  • I like to tinker with emerging technology: take it apart, truly understand it, then teach it or help others apply it.
  • I spent about 15 years in Developer Relations and Partner Engineering (now called Solution Architecture and Forward Deployed Engineering). I was an early developer advocate for .NET, mobile, cloud, AR/VR (it is still coming), voice assistants, and now AI.
  • I like to build great cross-functional teams, with engineers, PMs, field engineering, marketing/GTM, and sales. I did this for 10+ years at Microsoft, Amazon Alexa, and Amazon Web Services.
  • Today, I mostly architect, scaffold, and review AI-generated Python and TypeScript for AI agents. I also use AI to build personal mobile apps (Swift) and Windows apps (C#, Rust, or JS+Electron).
  • I don’t have a favorite AI model or vendor. I spend as much time with Claude as I do with Codex/GPTs. I evaluate open-weight LLMs often, but I have not adopted them in my small production workloads.
  • To disconnect, I lift weights, run (middle-distance), and cycle (recreationally).
